Andrea Francolino

Was born in Bari, 27 April 1979. He lived and attended Art School in Matera,  then in 2004  he graduated as sculptor at the “Academy of Fine Arts” in Bari. Since 2008 he lives and works in Milan, and  in the same year wins the Award from Criticism, at  the historic “San Fedele Visual Arts Award”  - Art and Power. In his works  chooses  to transform celebrities of the history of yesterday and today in "testimonial” ,putting them on the packaging of products from Hypermarket  that we buy  and equally superficially throw away. He uses this combination to send out strong messages, concepts that are unwelcome at times, but that can only reach their destination thanks to the communicative power of Art. Painting, photography, sculpture  and digital art , these are the techniques used to witness his consumerist ad consumed Art.
